A good recipe for your own baked tofu---
i never knew how to do it before and just stumbled across this

Heres the recipe:

One 16 oz pac firm tofu, drained

1/3 tamari or soy sauce of choice

1/4 cup water

2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Blot the tofu to remove excess liquid, cut it into 1/2 inch thick slices. Place on baking sheet lined with paper towels. Cover with more paper towels and another baking sheet on top. Weigh it down with a book or cans(anything heavy) for 20 min.

Combine the other ingredients in a bowl, blend well.

After 20 min, place tofu  in a glass baking dish and por the sauce on top. Cover and refrigerate for three hours or over night, turning it once.

Preheat oven to 375. remove the tofu and place on lightly oiled baking sheet. bake until brown and very firm, turning once about half way through cook time(about one hour)

Serve it as you wish and with what you wish, you could also make whatever marinade you feel.

Hope someone finds this useful!

Its from the vegan planet cook book

Happy easter
