Low Sugar Smoothie
« on: March 01, 2017, 03:43:13 PM »
I've been following a low fodmap diet due to my recent, non-stop gut flare ups (sufferer of IBS-C). Thought I would share one of my low sugar smoothies with chlorella I have been loving lately.

Blend the following ingredients and enjoy!
+ 1/2 unripe banana
+ 3/4 cup frozen wild blueberries
+ 1/2 cup frozen spinach
+ 1 frozen zucchini (cut in pieces)
+ 1 cup almond milk (or non-dairy milk of choice)
+ 1 tablespoon nut or seed butter of choice
+ 1 tablespoon flaxseed meal
+ 1 teaspoon maca powder
+ 1 teaspoon chlorella powder
+ ice if needed

You can also view the recipe on my website here: http://www.nowheylady.com/home/2017/2/27/not-so-blue-low-sugar-blueberry-smoothie

This recipe looks delicious! Where do you purchase your maca and chlorella powder?

After learning more about the health benefits of chlorella, I really want to start incorporating in my morning smoothies too!

Also, I LOVE your website :) - I could learn so much from you...
