Your micorbiome and heart health...super interesting article

This is a very interesting article about your mircobiome and how it can affect your cardiovascular health.

(I do disagree with the list of "avoid" foods in the video, especially with regard to egg yolks).

Hi Diane,

Thanks for sharing this post! I have to say, my interest in gut health and our microbiome is what lead me to Bauman College and seeking a Nutrition Consultant Certification. It's interesting how much science/research is coming out about how heavily influenced our health is to the balance of bacteria in our body!

Over the summer I read "Gut: The Inside Story of Our Most Underrated Organ" by Giulia Enders and "The Mind Gut Connection" by Emeran Mayer. Both really interesting books that you might want to check out if you haven't already! They go into further detail about some studies done in the last few years on how certain bacteria affect our behavior specifically.

I also read this article over the summer about the possible connection between gut health and Parkinson's Disease. I can't remember the exact article, but I did find one that read similar:
