NANP Board Exam
« on: April 17, 2018, 07:11:56 AM »
Hey everyone! I just finished the Nutrition Consulting Program and I wondering how common it is to sit for the NANP Board Certification Exam? I am starting my own business and am debating if it is worth the time/money to invest in the test and if it would truly make a difference? Anyone have experience or an opinion on this? Thanks for the help!

Hi Alexandra,
Becoming Board Certified will give you more credibility in front of your own clients and other health professionals such as MDs, NDs, etc. If your question is can you monetize on it, answer is no. However taking the test broadens and deepens your nutritional knowledge quite a bit.   I took exam two years after obtaining  my Masters degree in HN. and I can tell you that test  was very challenging. Was it wort?, Absolutely! It helped me to deepen and broaden my nutritional knowledge, and gave me a confidence in my own ability to do  the job as a nutritional professional.
If you have additional questions  please do not hesitate to ask.
Thanks, Irema
