This looks like a fun event. The weather should be perfect - a great day to celebrate our Earth! Hope to see some of you there!!


Berkeley's Earth Day Fair

Berkeley’s Earth Day Fair takes place on Saturday, April 19 from Noon until 5:00 p.m. in Civic Center Park, located at MLK & Allston. 

Commemorating the occasion will be:

    *Vivienne Verdon-Roe (Academy award film maker and co-founder of SEAFLOW, working to protect whales and marine life from the Navy's new lethal active sonar)
    *Gopal Davenini (Former Oil Campaign Coordinator for Project Underground, activist)
    *Ross Mirkarimi (Leader of environmental/scientific investigations in Iraq)

Cultural Performers:
    *Wild Mango (Latin jazz dance)
    *Reggae Angels
    *Home At Last (funk)

    *Who Let Out the Smog? A theater production by the Lawrence Hall of Science
    *Non-violent civil disobedience trainings by Direct Action to Stop the War
    *Climbing Wall
    *Kid’s Eco-Art making with East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse
    *Berkeley Farmer’s Market Family Farm Day
    *Vegetarian food, craft and community booths

Please DON’T DRIVE to Berkeley’s Earth Day Fair.  Take BART to the Downtown Berkeley station and walk one block west. VALET BIKE PARKING will be provided by the Bicycle Friendly Berkeley Coalition.

Berkeley’s Earth Day Fair is sponsored by the City of Berkeley, Missing Link, Progressive Asset Management, Inkworks, Planet Organics, Clif Bar, Sunlight Electric, and Bison Brewery.  Volunteer labor is still needed for the day of the event.
