Two exciting Nutrition Education Courses are being offered for Fall 2008 --


        "Nutrition Education For Optimal Health"

                                    and

        "Nutrition Education for Children's Health"


The instructor will be Marilyn R. Clevenger -

Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Holistic Certified Nutrition Educator and Consultant.


Marilyn teaches classes and workshops in life and health empowerment emphasizing the mind-body connection and vital nutrition. She maintains a private practice, in addition to being a member of the "Bauman College  - Holistic Nutrition and Culinary Arts" faculty.

These classes are offered in October and November of 2008.  The focus will be on Nutrition Education to Support Health, based on the Eating For HealthTM model.

"Nutrition Education for Children’s Health"

Ages: 16 and up

A course in Nutrition Education for the purpose of supporting Optimal Health in Children. (This course is about nutrition for children, and is intended for adults.) We will discuss what is nutritious and what is not, and emphasize the connection between nutrition and health.  The course will be based on the Eating for HealthTM model.

We will examine your dietary approach, determine how you can upgrade to a nutritious and health giving approach, and review how to inspire children to make healthful choices. Nutrition support for ADHD, autism, diabetes, depression, cancer, dental health, obesity, weight loss, and other childhood concerns will be included.


● 10/7 - 10/28 - 4 weeks - Tuesday evenings ● 7 to 8:30pm

● 11/3 - 11/24 - 4 weeks - Monday evenings ● 7 to 8:30pm


Fee: Petaluma Residents $60,   Non Petaluma Residents $65




"Nutrition Education For Optimal Health"

Ages: 16 and up

A course in Nutrition Education for the purpose of supporting Optimal Health in Teens and Adults. We will discuss what is nutritious and what is not, and emphasize the connection between nutrition and health.  The course will be based on the Eating for HealthTM model.

We will examine your dietary approach, determine how you can upgrade to a nutritious and health giving approach, and review how to be inspired to make healthful choices. The course will include Nutrition support for: Allergies, Acid Reflux (GERD), Anxiety, Arthritis, Cancer, Chronic Fatigue, Depression, Diabetes, Digestive Issues, Eating Disorders, Fibromyalgia, Food Addictions, Metabolic Syndrome (Syndrome “X”), Obesity, Osteoporosis, Weight Loss and other health concerns.



● 10/23 - 11/20 - 4 weeks - Thursday evenings ● 7 to 8:30pm (no class 11/6)

● 11/5 - 11/26 - 4 weeks - Wednesday evenings ● 7 to 8:30pm

Marilyn also teaches: "Weight Loss 101 - Breaking Free of Weight Issues!" and "Getting Started with Live Food Nutrition, a Course in Raw Food Dietary Approaches", and offers private instruction in creating customized Live Food Nutrition programs for individuals and families, and is available to develop customized weight loss and weight management programs for individuals, including breaking Metabolic Syndrome "X", and nutrition assessment and support, as well as behavior modification approaches and techniques.
