10TH ANNUAL WORLD VEG FESTIVAL WEEKEND IN SAN FRANCISCO:  OCT. 3 & 4, 2009
The San Francisco Vegetarian Society and In Defense of Animals present the 10th annual award-winning WORLD VEG FESTIVAL, commemorating World Vegetarian Day.  This two-day event features informative lectures by the movers and shakers of the vegetarian world, creative vegetarian cooking demos, international cuisine to sample or buy, vegan friendly merchandise, Children’s Corner play area, Organic Athletes, Veggie Speed Dating, Raging Grannies and a variety of world entertainment. 

DATE:     Saturday & Sunday, October 3 & 4, 2009
TIME:   10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
PLACE:   San Francisco County Fair Building, Lincoln & 9th Ave. entrance to Golden Gate Park
COST:   $6 suggested donation; FREE to everyone before 10:30 a.m. both days, FREE to children, students & seniors with ID.  Saturday 6:45 p.m. catered dinner $20 cooked vegan or $25 raw vegan

Tantalizing Tempeh at 10th Annual World Vegetarian Festival
Jesse Miner will be presenting a cooking demonstration next Saturday October 3rd from 12:15 - 1:15 pm at the 10th annual World Vegetarian Festival in San Francisco. The topic is "Tantalizing Tempeh" featuring mouth-watering recipes for Grilled Tempeh Skewers with a Spicy Peanut Sauce accompanied by a Tangy Cucumber Salad.
