Winter Squash

I helped teach a winter squash class at New Leaf Market's community classroom last week and we were joined by Marc, the produce coordinator. He indicated that the squash they sell is all by the pound, so if you would like a piece of one of those huge gnarly looking ones but don't think you can eat it all, you can ask them to cut you a piece and they will sell it to you that way. In the season of delicious winter squash recipes, I thought I would share that tid-bit as there are so many different fun varieties to try!!
