Cells and the Sacred ,, a weekend workshop taught by Bauman faculty member Sondra Barrett, PhD, brings together the biology of our cells with how we communicate with them.  This workshop blends mindbody medicine, movement, art and science.  In the beautiful Petaluma setting of Earthrise, the Noetic Sciences Retreat Center, you will learn how to nourish your cells (and self) beyond food while discovering clues to supporting a healthy life.  This will be held April 16-18, 2010.  You can also listen to an interview about some of this work on Dr. Barrett's website.  Please feel free to contact Sondra (  with any questions.  Registration is through Noetic Sciences.

An evening presentation, Cells and the Sacred: The Mystic Grape will be held  April 8 at Sebastopol Community Center, sponsored by Science Buzz Cafe and Copperfield's Bookstore. My new book Wine's Hidden Beauty will be available.  April 25 Beringer winery in St. Helena is hosting a free afternoon Wine and Wellness event.
