Title: AVOCADO HUMMUS

7 OUNCES OF HOMEMADE HUMMUS RECIPE AS FOLLOWS:


1 CAN OF ORGANIC GARBANZO BEANS
1/4 - 1/2 CUP OF ORGANIC EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
JUICE OF 1/2 ORGANIC LEMON
2 ORGANIC AVOCADOS
SEA SALT
PEPPER
1 CLOVE OF ORGANIC GARLIC

IN A FOOD PROCESSOR ADD ALL INGREDIENTS EXCEPT OLIVE OIL.  PUT COVER ON AND SLOWLY DRIZZLE THE OLIVE OIL IN A LITTLE AT A TIME AND MIX UNTIL YOU GET A NICE SMOOTH TEXTURE.
THEN ADD THE  AVOCADOS AND MIX WELL.

PUT IN A DECORATIVE BOWL AND GARNISH WITH TWO SLICES OF AVOCADO.(http://)

yum! i just bought a pre-packaged avohummus concoction and it was filthy gross. this looks delicious! if you like cayenne, or if youre cooking for folks who like it, consider throwing it in hummus for an added kick. the capsaicin is the active compound, and it is excellent EXCELLENT for appetite control, plus it has all kinds of anti-inflammatory.


also, it kicks hummus into way high gear.. keeps it interesting!  :D

wow- i never thought of putting avocado in my hummus.  its an amazingly versatile ingredient and i am constantly adding it to salsas, eggs, and stir-frys.  thanks for the advice! cant wait to try it! hmmmm maybe on a veggie burger....  ::)
