“Healing Foods for Kids Hooked on Sweets”
8/2/11: 5:30-6:30pm
Kathy Gade, NE
Bauman College graduate Kathy Gade, NE made learning fun (for adults!) in her presentation “Healing Foods for Kids Hooked on Sweets.” Along with an informative lecture, participants sampled Eating For Health™ recipes, satisfying to the sweet tooth of all ages without the added refined sugars. Who needs sugar when nature has given us maple syrup, honey, and fruit for occasional sweet treats, plus important nutritional benefits? The Healing Foods Lecture Series is a monthly program with Alta Bates Summit Medical Center and Whole Foods Market in Berkeley.
Kathy Gade is a certified Nutrition Educator, teacher, and yoga instructor with a passion for creating and maintaining healthy families and communities. She teaches an easy and accessible, whole foods approach to nutrition for sustaining a healthy life.
