Learn how to teach, Cooking Matters (San Francisco, CA)
« on: February 13, 2013, 03:10:06 PM »
Dear friend"s,
I run a program in San Francisco called Cooking Matters, which teaches low-income families how to plan and prepare healthy, delicious meals on a limited budget. Our classes are taught by volunteer chefs and nutritionists, and we have been fortunate to work with many Bauman students and graduates over the years.
This spring, we are launching an in-depth training on how to be a great cooking or nutrition teacher we call The Deep Dish. Our volunteers typically have a lot of knowledge about food and nutrition, but many have never taught a class before. This workshop is designed to give chefs and nutritionists the skills they need to be great teachers, either in our Cooking Matters program or wherever their careers take them.
I would love your help in spreading the word about the event. This is the first time we've done it, and we want to make sure we reach a wide audience. Here is some more information:
  Thank you for your help.
  Cheers, Sarah
