Tap water in Berkeley
«

I've been searching the web on info about the water quality in Berkeley and am curious how others feel about drinking the tap water. Are filters necessary? If so, does anyone have a recommendation for a quality filter?
Thanks so much!!

I have also been trying to find out about the tap water quality in Oakland. I asked a few long time residents if they knew anything. Some said they boil the water, others said that it is perfectly fine to drink straight out of the tap. I use tap water for making tea, or cooking grains when i have no other choice, but i also I'm not too convinced that bottled water is of any better quality than tap water.
if anyone has more info on this it would be great since water is such a vital element.
thanks
