Hi.  In talking with some folks the question came up as to why Bauman is not accredited college.
Is this something you can elaborate on ?

Thanks,
Shannon

Bauman College is a non-profit educational institution that has been approved to operate since 1992 by the CA Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education to offer the following professional courses:
Nutrition Consultant
Natural Chef
This approval demonstrates compliance with state standards as set forth in the educational code.

Our school is a non-profit vocational career training school. We do not have the resources to attain accreditation through a USDE recognized accrediting agency. We will not attempt to become accredited by agencies that are not recognized by standard academia (there are many such organizations out there). An example of one such organization is the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. Outside of accreditation by agencies overseen by the U.S. Department of Education, there are no rules that govern organizations that refer to themselves as accrediting agencies.

Bauman College has met the test of having their programs approved by the National Association of Nutrition Professionals, a non-profit professional business league, that has been dedicated to monitoring professional nutrition standards of practice for 20 years. The Bauman College Nutrition Consultant Program has been approved as meeting the NANP's educational standards. www.nanp.org Therefore, Bauman College graduates are eligible to become board certified in holistic nutrition by passing the National Board Exam in Holistic Nutrition. www.hncb.org

I am always available to discuss this in more detail.  Feel free to contact me directly if you have additional questions.
