Learn more about Jessica, and how an English course at her local junior college shifted everything she thought she knew about health and wellness.

I Could Live a Fuller, More Vibrant Life, but I had no Idea Where to Begin

I grew up on a steady diet of fast food and TV dinners, never thinking twice about what I put in my body. Health wasn’t something I prioritized, instead, I ate whatever I craved and used beauty products filled with harmful chemicals, completely unaware of the long-term impact. On the outside, I looked healthy and fit, but inside, I constantly struggled with brain fog, low energy, and digestive issues. Deep down, I sensed I could live a fuller, more vibrant life, but I had no idea where to begin.

Everything shifted during a English course at my local junior college. Our professor assigned The Omnivore’s Dilemma by Michael Pollan, and it completely opened my eyes to the truth about our food system. That book sparked something in me. I left class that day and headed straight to the grocery store, determined to make a change. I began researching everything I could about health, wellness, and nutrition. As I gradually shifted my lifestyle, the difference was undeniable, I felt sharper, more energized, joyful, and deeply at peace. It was like I had been living in a fog, and suddenly the light turned on.

I Wanted Something that Honored the Connection Between Mind, Body, and Environment

As my transformation continued, I realized just how many others were misinformed, just like I had been, and I knew I wanted to help them. I enrolled in nutrition courses at my local college, but it didn’t take long to realize that the conventional curriculum didn’t align with what I had come to understand about true wellness. It focused on outdated models and lacked a holistic view of health. I wanted something deeper, something that honored the connection between mind, body, and environment.

That’s when I discovered Bauman College. The moment I read about their mission; I felt an inner knowing that it was the next step on my path. Years later, when I enrolled in their in-person program, it was truly a breath of fresh air. Bauman College validated everything I had been learning on my own and brought it to life through a rigorous, empowering curriculum. Their holistic model of health, pioneered by Dr. Ed Bauman, set the foundation for a new generation of wellness practitioners. Being part of that community was a privilege, and I graduated with honors, feeling more aligned with my purpose than ever before.

I chose Bauman College because it was the only school I found that truly aligned with my personal philosophy of health and wellness. After experiencing my own wellness transformation, I realized that true health is about more than just calories or macronutrients, it’s about nourishing the whole person: body, mind, and environment.

Bauman College Honored the Deep Connection Between Food, Lifestyle, and Long-Term Vitality

When I explored Bauman College’s programs, I was immediately drawn to their holistic approach to nutrition and their emphasis on real food, functional wellness, and individualized care. Unlike conventional programs I had previously enrolled in, Bauman College honored the deep connection between food, lifestyle, and long-term vitality. Their teachings were rooted in integrity, science, and compassion, values that deeply resonated with me.

I was also impressed by the legacy of Dr. Ed Bauman, whose pioneering model of health gave language and structure to everything I had instinctively begun learning on my own. Choosing Bauman College felt like coming home to a community that understood the kind of practitioner I aspired to be. I knew I didn’t want to offer surface-level advice, I wanted to help people transform their lives, just like I had. And Bauman gave me the knowledge, tools, and support to do exactly that.

Bauman College Gave Me the Foundation to Turn My Passion into a Career

Bauman College gave me the foundation, confidence, and credibility to turn my passion into a career. Their holistic approach aligned perfectly with my values and helped me refine my skills so I could support others in a meaningful, effective way. It empowered me to create a business that feels authentic, impactful, and deeply fulfilling.

I currently work as a holistic nutritionist and wellness educator, specializing in non-toxic living and healthy aging. I run my own practice where I offer 1:1 consultations, customized meal and supplement plans, toxin-reduction coaching, and face yoga classes. I also recently published my first book, “Healthier Beauty: The Ultimate Guide to Radiant Skin, Hair, and Wellness.”

What I love most about my career is helping women feel empowered in their bodies and confident in their health journey. There’s nothing more fulfilling than seeing someone reclaim their energy, glow, and sense of self, naturally. I get to blend my background in cosmetology with my nutrition to support women in achieving whole-body health, and that alignment makes the work incredibly meaningful.

As a licensed cosmetologist and holistic nutritionist, I’ve seen firsthand how deeply toxic our everyday environments can be, especially for women. From beauty products to cookware, cleaning supplies, and even our shower water, the hidden toxins in our lives can quietly erode our health. And yet, few people are ever taught how to recognize, reduce, or replace them. That’s why I created my signature offering, the “Healthy Home Makeover,” where I help clients minimize their toxic load, switch to cleaner alternatives, and optimize their wellness from the inside out.

Wellness isn’t just About Food and Fitness, it’s About the Full Picture

Wellness isn’t just about food and fitness, it’s about the full picture. I work primarily with women to help them reclaim their health through nutrition, non-toxic living, and mindful beauty practices. I provide bio individual meal plans, personalized supplement protocols, toxin awareness education, and even natural beauty techniques like face yoga. We work out our bodies, why not our faces? Face yoga helps strengthen facial muscles naturally, promoting circulation, tone, and healthy aging without invasive procedures.

This path hasn’t always been the most conventional, but I’m grateful I followed my intuition. I believe amazing things happen when we show up authentically and let our inner guidance lead the way. The moment I leaned fully into my unique fusion of holistic nutrition and beauty, the universe responded. I began receiving opportunities to appear on television, contribute to health and wellness publications, and speak on podcasts, sharing a message I wholeheartedly believe in: you don’t have to compromise your health for beauty.

I Believe Beauty and Health and Inseparable

In fact, I believe beauty and health are inseparable. That’s what led me to write my first book: “Healthier Beauty: The Ultimate Guide to Radiant Skin, Hair, and Wellness.”

In it, I dive deep into holistic living, offering powerful tools to help people live their most vibrant lives. I explore how the skin, our largest organ, is intricately tied to overall health, from liver function to inflammation and immune support.

Taking care of your appearance isn’t vain, it’s vital. When we nourish our bodies, our glow is inevitable.

Bauman College was instrumental in helping me cut through the noise of health fads and ground myself in a deeper, more meaningful approach to wellness. I truly believe that Dr. Ed Bauman and his philosophy have laid the groundwork for a more compassionate, effective model of holistic health, and it’s been an honor to be part of that legacy.

As I continue this journey, my mission remains clear: to help women live well, age gracefully, and feel confident in their skin, naturally, authentically, and holistically.
