I was Introduced to Functional Medicine Concepts
I am a proud 2008 graduate of the Nutritional Consultant program. I’ve always been drawn to understanding how internal and external environments in life influence our physiology.
This led me to Bauman College, where I was introduced to functional medicine concepts and to a community of like-minded people.
As an experienced Physician Assistant who has served the East Bay since 2003, I began incorporating functional nutrition in family practice during my training at Bauman. Needless to say, I was hooked.
Eventually, I earned a Master of Science in Human Nutrition and Functional medicine from the University of Western States and became certified by the Institute of Functional Medicine.
I Opened My Own Functional Medical Practice
In 2020, I opened my own functional medical practice, Primavera Functional Medicine to help people with functional gut disorders, autoimmune disorders and hormone imbalance. I love serving people.
My practice has evolved to include mold illness and most recently, Long COVID, due to my personal and clinical experience.
I chose Bauman because I wanted a local school that was at the forefront of clinical nutrition. Bauman provided me with the type of nutritional education I needed to pursue a career in Functional Medicine.
When you pursue training at Bauman College, you can expect change. You will learn how to heal yourself and others through food.
